The Thousand Oaks Philharmonic will present the Chopin Project 3 at 7:30 p.m. Fri., April 17 at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd.

Chopin Project 3 is a performance event that celebrates the music of Chopin with a scholarly perspective, featuring a recital and a moderated panel discussion.

Guest artist David Lee, MD, an internist and a vocational musician, has completed extensive research on how the health aspects of Chopin's life affected the composer's performances and compositions. He will lecture on his research at the event.

Lee will also be interested by Philharmonic executive director Edward Francis.

Francis will also moderate a questions and answer period with the audience.

The event is inspired by the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw.

Tickets will be available in the lobby of the Forum Theatre beginning at 6:30 p.m. General admission is $20 and student or senior admission is $10.

A family package with two general admission and two student or senor tickets is $50.
