The Conejo Valley Home Remodeling and Green Building Show will take place Sat. and Sun., April 25 to 26 at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza, 880 S. Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village.

The hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The Ventura County Contractor's Association will host a consumer booth at the home show.

Homeowners are invited to stop by the booth and discuss remodeling or home improvement projects. The association can answer questions about hiring a professional contractor who is licensed, insured and bonded.

"When hiring a contractor, it is important to entrust your home to someone you can count on, said Evonne Silvestri, VCCA's vice president. "Our goal is to educate people so they can make informed decisions when hiring a contractor."

The VCCA is a nonprofit membership association of more than 750 members in the construction industry.
