The Four Preps will bring a '50s-style 'Fun Fest' to Thousand Oaks on Saturday

The Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Foundation presents the Four Preps, with original lead singer Bruce Belland, in concert at 8 p.m. Sat., April 11 at the Fred Kavli Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd.

Special guests include The Chordettes ("Mr. Sandman," "Lollipop" and "Born to Be With You") and host KRTH101 radio personality Brian Beirne, also known as "Mr. Rock 'n' Roll."

The event will also feature a '50s "Fun Fest," a '50s fashion and dance competition, onstage trivia contests, classic cars, nostalgia video displays and surprise appearances by '50s icons.

The Four Preps recorded many Top 100 hits in the '50s and '60s, including "Twenty Six Miles (Santa Catalina)," "Big Man," "Down by the Station," "Lazy Summer Night," "Got a Girl," "It Ain't Never," "Moon River," "Lollipops and Roses" and "My Special Angel."

Tickets are $36 to $50 with group discounts available.
