California Lutheran University's annual Scandinavian Festival is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat., April 18 and Sun., April 19 at California Lutheran University on the corner of Olsen Road and Mountclef Blvd., Thousand Oaks.

The event will feature food, entertainment and demonstrations highlighting the Nordic cultures of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland.

Admission is $5 for ages 12 and older, free for ages 11 and under.

Activities include a parade of flags, music, dancing, lectures, a soccer clinic, a Swedish-style croquet game, drama, storytelling, carving butter knives, making flower wreaths, medieval games, Viking and Sami villages, and exhibits of the Nobel and Kavli prizes.

Scandinavian handicrafts and Nordic food will be available for purchase.
