Conejo Valley Neighborhood for Learning will host an open house from 10 a.m. to noon Sat., April 4 at its new Neighborhood City Center for Young Children, 110 S. Conejo School Road (next to The Lakes), Thousand Oaks.

The event will include a Car Seat Safety Education Session conducted by the Ventura County Fire Department and Safe Kids Worldwide.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, motor vehicle injuries are the leading cause of death among children in the U.S. Placing children in age- and size-appropriate car seats and booster seats reduces serious and fatal injuries by more than half.

The open house will include registration information, facility tour and children's activities.

The center will provide preschool and child care for children up to age 5.
