At The Library
The Thousand Oaks Library announces its upcoming events calendar. Unless otherwise noted, all events will be held at either the Grant Brimhall/ Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road, or the Newbury Park Branch Library, 2331 Borchard Road.

•A Historical Journey through America's Music will be presented from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Sat., April 4 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library and from 2 to 2:45 p.m. at the Newbury Park Branch. Singer Craig Newton will explore the history of music, including the connection between country music and Irish music and the invention of the drum.
•The Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library will be closed Sun., April 5 due to the Eggstravaganza event in the park.
•National Library Week is Sun., April 12 to Sat., April 18.
•Both libraries will be closed Sun., April 12 for Easter.
•A movie matinee is planned for 1 to 3:30 p.m. Mon., April 13 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library. The movie will be "The Music Man" starring Robert Preston and Shirley Jones.
•A movie screening for teens will be presented at 6 p.m. Mon., April 13 at the Newbury Park Branch. The movie will be "Spirited Away." Popcorn and soda will be provided while supplies last.
•A program on dyslexia is planned for 5:30 p.m. Thurs., April 16 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library. Admission is free, but seating is limited and reservations are required.

•A movie for teens will be shown at 3:30 p.m. Fri., April 17 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library. The movie will be "WALL-E." Popcorn and soda will be provided while supplies last.
•The Power of Music and the Written Word will be presented at 1:30 p.m. Sat., April 18 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library. The Silver Strings and Conejo Youth Orchestra String Quartet will perform. The announcement of the One City One Book selection will follow the program.
