•Navy Seaman Recruit Christopher J. Wheeler, son of James A. Wheeler of Thousand Oaks, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Wheeler is a 2008 graduate of Simi Valley High School.

•Air Force Airman Weston A. Berg has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

Berg is the son of Marsha Berg of Thousand Oaks. He is a 2005 graduate of Thousand Oaks High School.

•Army Pvt. Eder C. Rangel graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

Rangel is the son of Silvia Rangel of Thousand Oaks. He is a 2008 graduate of Thousand Oaks High School.
