Professional magician and Thousand Oaks resident Shawn McMaster will appear on the Fox MyNetworkTV television series "Masters of Illusion" on channel 13 at 9 p.m. Mon., March 30.

McMaster, a resident of Ventura County for 42 years, has performed his wild style of comedy in venues across the country, including Broadway, Las Vegas and at the Magic Castle in Hollywood. He entertains in the corporate world and is also an author of books and articles on magicians and the art of magic.

"Masters of Illusion," which debuted in January, is a weekly series featuring top magicians from around the world and from all genres of the art performing some of their best tricks in front of a live audience.

"It was a great experience," McMaster said of the show's taping, which took place at RenMar Studios in Hollywood before Thanksgiving.
