Home Depot will be good for T.O.
I've been involved with the city and its politics for 30 years. As a business owner on Thousand Oaks Boulevard, I strongly support the Home Depot.
I'm a former member of Mayor's Business Roundtable, which encourages the people of Thousand Oaks and the City Council to deal with businesses objectively and fairly.
How you treat Home Depot is how you should treat other businesses in the area. Don't be swayed by the size or financial backbone of any company.
Free enterprise and competition is the foundation of this nation. We're suffering due to this horrible economy, yet still we have the naysayers with a twisted agenda that want to reject a company that will bring jobs and revenue in an unparalleled time of need. We must do what's right for the community as a whole.
A new Home Depot will enliven the neighboring businesses such as gas stations and vacant eateries in the area, which in turn will help add revenue to the city. A new Home Depot makes sense.
Lets put an end to blight at the old Kmart site. Henry Valdez Thousand Oaks
