Players and cheerleaders can register Saturday
      The Thousand Oaks Titans will have final registration for football players and cheerleaders from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sat., March 21 at Topper's Pizza in Thousand Oaks in the Ralphs shopping center on the southeast corner of Moorpark and Janss roads.

Club awards children's outstanding behavior
      The Los Robles Golf Course Banquet Room was transformed into a Polynesian paradise last Friday evening, with decorations and sandfilled "island" table centerpieces created by members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Conejo & Las Virgenes. It was the annual "Celebrating Our Youth" dinner and awards presentation.

Remembering old times
      I miss the sound my 5-year-old son and I used to make when driving toy cars. It involved sticking out our tongues and, for the most part, spitting. The other day, my boy came to me with two cars in his hands, one for him and one for me. He asked if we could race around the living room like old times. I told him we couldn't. He was sad. I was sad, too.

Another Eagle Scout
      AT THE PINNACLE— Kabir Nagarkatti, 15, with Boy Scout Troop No. 787 in Thousand Oaks has achieved the highest rank in Scouting. To become an Eagle Scout, Kabir constructed an information board and trail markers for Conejo Creek Park North. A freshman at Westlake High School, Kabir is the son of Arjun and Suchitra Nagarkatti.
