Supervisor to host a dinner

Supervisor Linda Parks will host the fifth in her Quarterly Dinner Series at 7 p.m. Thurs., March 26 at Mama Rita's Mexican restaurant, 360 Via Las Brisas, Ste. 110, Newbury Park.

State Sen. Fran Pavley will speak on greenhouse gas emissions, the effort to limit them and the movement toward a green economy.

Discussion will include how transportation and land use planning can be integrated to reduce sprawl and the need for cost effective and dependable sources of transportation.

Pavley was a founding council member and mayor for the city of Agoura Hills.

The cost is $25 per person. The event is expected to sell out.
