Arts double-decker bus tour set to debut

The Arts Council of Conejo Valley will sponsor the inaugural Art Bus tour from 4 to 8 p.m. Sun., March 22, with passengers ferried in an authentic doubledecker English bus to visit various local art spots.

After boarding the bus at Hillcrest Center for the Performing Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks, passengers will be chauffeured to Thousand Oaks Community Gallery in Newbury Park for Westlake Art Guild's 200-art juried show, Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza's Kavli Theatre for "Art of Its Own Show," and returning to Hillcrest Center for the Common Threads Fiber Arts show.

Snacks and beverages will be provided as well as entertainment by singer and guitarist Nancy Lee of Thousand Oaks performing country and pop tunes; Will Thoren of Agoura Hills playing the Australian Aboriginal instrument the didgeridoo; and the bellydancing Wild Routes of Thousand Oaks.
