Oil Musuem has new exhibit

The Santa Paula Historical Society will present a new exhibit, "Born of Fire and Fury: A History of Santa Paula Fire Department," opening from 1 to 3 p.m. Sun., March 22 at the California Oil Museum at Main and 10th streets in downtown Santa Paula.

The exhibit will chronicle the more than 100-year story of Santa Paula's firefighters and is expected to feature an early 20th century fire engine, equipment, uniforms, photos, log books and news clippings.

The opening reception will include a demonstration by the Santa Paula Fire Department. Refreshments will be served.

The exhibit continues through June 14. Museum hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Suggested donations are $4 for adults, $3 for seniors and $1 for students 6 to 17. Children 5 and under are admitted free.
