JANN HENDRY/Acorn Newspapers PEDESTRIAN POWER—Redwood Middle School seventh-grader Nick Riemen, 12, leads his fellow classmates along Olsen Road during the 31st annual Conejo Valley CROP Walk. CROP is an acronym for Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty. The event was last Sunday in Thousand Oaks. Proceeds will support Conejo Valley charities (among others), including Manna, the Conejo Valley food bank; Westlake Meals on Wheels; Conejo Valley Meals on Wheels; Lutheran Social Services; and Catholic Charities.
