Early discount for Cub Scout summer camp

The Conejo Valley District, Boy Scouts of America, Ventura County Council, will hold its Cub Scout summer day camp Mon. through Fri., June 22 through 26 at Glenwood Elementary School, 1134 Windsor Drive, Thousand Oaks.

The registration deadline to receive the early bird discount is March 31. Final deadline is May 15. Space is limited.

The theme this year is "Wild Wild West." Many activities, crafts, and games will relate to the theme.

Camp activities include crafts, cooking, nature exploration, archery, woodworking, leatherworking, songs and games. Scouts can also work on achievements, arrow points, belt loops and activity pins. Packs that attend day camp have an easier time earning the National Summertime Pack Award.

The camp is inspected and meets or exceeds strict quality, health and safety standards as required by the National Office of the Boy Scouts of America.

Scout professionals and volunteer camp directors supervise a staff of Cub Scout leaders and parent volunteers. Directors are certified by the National Camping School of the Boy Scouts of America. The camp program is designed by a committee of experienced camp leaders.
