Kingsmen Shakespeare Co. at library
The Kingsmen Shakespeare Company will give a free family-friendly presentation at 2 p.m. Sat., March 21 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road.
In the one-hour presentation, Professor Albert Festenstein begins a lecture on Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night." Students disrupt the lecture until Festenstein challenges them to tell the story by acting it out. What follows is an adaptation of one of Shakespeare's comedies interspersed with comic narration.
Six actors play all of the characters.
The Kingsmen Shakespeare Company presents professional programs and performances of the works of William Shakespeare for the education and entertainment of people of all ages.
The company presents the Shakespeare Educational Tour to area schools and the annual summer Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival at California Lutheran University.
The company is a nonprofit organization with special contracts with Actors Equity Association. The company is a member of the Shakespeare Theatre Association of America.
