Large cast, musical performances highlight 'Willy Wonka Junior' at Conejo Players

Conejo Players Theatre presents "Willy Wonka Junior" from March 21 through 29 at the theater, 351 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks.

Showtimes are Fri., March 27 at 7 p.m. and 1 and 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, as well as two daytime performances for schools March 25.

Words and music are by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley. The play is adapted by Leslie Bricusse and Timothy McDonald, based on the book "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" by Roald Dahl.

In this 70-minute children's theater production, Willy Wonka looks for an heir to the take over the care of his chocolate factory and the Oompa Loompa workers.

Five golden ticket winners are treated to a tour of the factory. Charlie Bucket, who always "thinks positive," triumphs over gluttony, snobbery, laziness and bad manners.

In the cast are James Cluster, Corey Fogelmanis, Ashlee Ford, Reagan Kilpatrick, Sara Levine, Audrey Miller, Devin Milligan, Sami Staitman, Tatiana Sullivan, Bennie Glasner, Paul Panico, Marius Skoglund, Adam Rayzor, Karen Staitman, Steve Staitman, Ian McClean, Sarah Staitman, Jake Staitman, Jeremy Hanna, Jayme Amann, Francesca Barletta, Kuba Chyla, Meagan Chew, Ian Kilpatrick, Ava Halliday, Linda Schaver, Jana Giboney, Alex Karukas, Jake Fagundes, Zoe Fagundes, Sara Gilbert, Katy Levine, Stanley Miller, Emily Shields and Alexis Valdez.
