Soroptimist International of the Conejo is accepting requests for Service Award grants from nonprofit organizations with projects or programs that fit the Soroptimist mission of "improving the lives of women and girls in the local community and throughout the world."

The service award grants in 2009 will be in the range of $500 to $1,000.

March 20 is the deadline for requests.

Proposals should be no more than two typewritten pages (12 point type) and include the group's nonprofit tax ID number, brief description of the organization, mission statement, description of the population served and how the funds will be used ins a specific program or project. Also attach a copy of the most recent financial statement or a boardapproved budget.
