•Amy Schaffer of Thousand Oaks was named to the dean's list at Northeastern University for the fall 2008 semester.

To be named to the dean's list, students must carry a full program of at least four courses, have a quality point average of 3.25 or greater out of a possible 4.0 and carry no grade lower than a C.

•Spencer Gulbronson of Thousand Oaks has been named to the dean's list at Hamilton College for the fall 2008 semester.

A student must achieve a grade-point average of 90 or above during the term to be placed on the dean's list.

•Kenneth Gieselman of Thousand Oaks has received a Bachelor of Science degree in information technology from Western Governors University.

The university awarded more than 600 degrees at its semiannual commencement ceremonies on Jan. 24.
