The Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library announces its upcoming events. Unless otherwise noted all events are held at the library, 1401 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

•A Read Across America program will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Mon., March 2. The event will include a readin, stories being read aloud, bookmarks to color and an appearance by the Cat in the Hat.

•An L.A. Opera Talks event will be held at 2 p.m. Sun., March 8. The L.A. Opera Speakers Bureau will present Steve Kohn and an introduction to Wagner.

•A movie matinee will be held at 1 p.m. Mon., March 9. The movie will be "Waking Ned Divine," about villagers concocting a plan to keep the lottery winnings of a dead man. The movie is rated PG.

•Shakespeare at the Library will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sat., March 21 at the Grant Brimhall/ Thousand Oaks Library and 2 p.m. at the Newbury Park Branch Library, 2331 Borchard Road. The Kingsmen Shakespeare Company will present a 50-minute adaptation of "Twelfth Night."

•A marine mammals family event will be held at 2 p.m. Sun., March 29. The event will be a presentation about the 28 species of whales and dolphins found in the area surrounding the Channel Islands.
