The Knights of Columbus Council No. 8397 will host a beer-tasting class from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Fri., Feb. 20 at St. Julie's Parish Hall, 2475 Borchard Road, Newbury Park.

Attendees will learn the different between IPA, stout and lager; microbrewing and the best way to pour.

At least 10 types of beers will be sampled.

Appetizers and finger food will be provided.

Admission is a $25 taxdeductible donation payable to Knights of Columbus. Proceeds will benefit Homes For Our Troops, which provides housing for disabled military veterans.
