Seamus McLean

Colina Club member Seamus McLean aces sixth-grade math and works as treasurer for the Torch Club, a Boys & Girls Clubs community service program, but within this “numbers jock” beats the heart of a romantic.

His most cherished experience at the Colina Boys & Girls Club? Playing Romeo in the Shakespeare workshop.

“Romeo loves this woman, and he has perseverance and courage. He does everything he can to get something accomplished.”

Seamus also plays drums during jam sessions at the club, a place which he says has “broadened my experience and helped me meet people I would never have met at school. I’ve made some close friends here.”

The “Youths of the Month” at the Los Cerritos, Sequoia and Redwood clubs are, respectively, Brooke Schneider, Haley Lubben and Edie Sussman.
