Meet the Artist event will feature noted pianist at Civic Arts Plaza

New West Symphony League invites the community to Meet the Artist at 9:30 a.m. Thurs., Feb. 26 at the Scherr Forum, Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.

February's artist is pianist Sara Davis Buechner, who has appeared as a soloist with prominent orchestras including the New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia and Cleveland Orchestras and San Francisco Symphony.

At Meet the Artist, guest performers are interviewed by Boris Brott, symphony conductor. Brott engages guest artists in a one-hour interview that delves into the performer's background and experiences. A questionandanswer period follows.

There's no charge to attend, and reservations aren't required.
