National Charity League Inc., Conejo Valley Chapter will hold its annual Day of Giving fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mon., March 23 at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza, 880 S. Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village.

This year's theme is "Simple Joys" and celebrates the pleasure in everyday living. The money raised is distributed among the league's philanthropies and awarded as college scholarships to young women at local high schools.

Ellen Miller will be the keynote speaker. According to event organizers, Miller "encourages, inspires and motivates women to take their lives to the next level. She challenges women to think differently, live intentionally and to consider what it means to choose purposefully."

The event will also include boutiques from local vendors, opportunity drawings and a luncheon.

Tickets are $80. The boutiques will be open to the public at no charge.

National Charity League Inc. is a nonprofit, mother-daughter organization supporting local community agencies and charity organizations. The local chapter has 252 active members who contribute more 8,000 hours of community service annually.
