Amazing what can be done in one day

TEAMWORK- Members of Iron-Sharpens-Iron Bible Study group, above, surround T.O. resident John Graves (wearing a hat) as they pray with him after completing a oneday volunteer remodeling blitz on his house. At left, the mentor of the Bible study group, Jenny McMaster, left, and peers Kate Grossman and Jessie Burns scoop weeds from Graves' yard. More than 50 volunteers from Calvary Community Church and Oaks Christian High School removed weeds, trimmed bushes, laid fresh sod, painted the house, cleaned the garage, planted a flower garden and installed a patio in just one day. The idea was hatched by six girls from the bible study group. Graves, 80, lives alone and couldn't keep up with household projects. "I just can't get over it," he said, after seeing the results. "I live in the best house in town now, that's for sure."
