TOHS boys also eyeing league basketball title

The Thousand Oaks High boys' basketball team is closing in on its third Marmonte League championship in four seasons.
With a thrilling 57-55 victory at Simi Valley last weekend, the Lancers improved to 202 overall and 10-0 in league.
Entering Wednesday night's game at Calabasas, TOHS had a two-game lead on Simi Valley in league, including a pair of wins over the Pioneers.
The Lancers haven't gone undefeated in the Marmonte since the 2002 season when they were 12-0.
Thousand Oaks plays at Royal on Friday, and then finishes up league play with games against Newbury Park (Feb. 10) at home and at Moorpark (Feb. 12).
