The Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library and the Conejo Valley Genealogical Society will present a Family Legacy Workshop from 2 to 4 p.m. Sat., Feb. 7 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

Author Linda Weaver Clarke will teach participants about the elements needed to start writing a family history, autobiography or novel: setup, characters, plot, the importance of conflict and emotion.
