Oaks Christian's Jones, Marsh named top football players

Oaks Christian junior running back Malcolm Jones is the Offensive Player of the Year in the CIF-Southern Section Northwest Division for football.

Cassius Marsh, another Lion junior, was named coDefensive Player of the Year.

OCHS stalwart Bill Redell is Coach of the Year.

The AllCIFSS Northwest Division announcements were made last week by the LA84 Foundation.

Locals making the offensive first team include Oaks Christian quarterback Nick Montana and offensive lineman Erik Kohler. Both are juniors.

Oak Park senior offensive lineman Trevor Goehring was also a firstteam selection.

The Lions had three firstteam defenders, including senior defensive back Brian Owusu, senior defensive lineman Chris Coyle and junior linebacker Zac Stout.

Oak Park senior defensive lineman Michael Brinkley was also a first-team choice.
