NPHS baseball team to host golf tournament
      The Newbury Park High School baseball program will host the third annual golf tournament fundraiser on Sun., Feb. 8 at Moorpark Country Club, 11800 Championship Drive, Moorpark. Registration begins at 10 a.m. with a putting contest at 10:30 a.m. Shotgun start is 11:30 a.m.

Conejo Schools Foundation gets Internet safety grant

      The Conejo Schools Foundation has received a $25,000 grant from Verizon to further technology education in the school district. The Verizon Foundation Internet Safety Program Grant will help to create a program that will increase student awareness of how to safely use the Internet.

Parent Talk lecture series comes to Conejo Valley
      Conejo Valley Adult School is introducing its next segment in the Parent Talk lecture series with an event Tues., Feb. 3. Gary Brainerd will present "The Power of Two," about the importance of a solid marriage. Brainerd is a clinical psychologist specializing in relationship therapy. He presents workshops and seminars for couples, singles and parents.
