A male, 22, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at 6:15 a.m. Jan. 17 at Lynn Road and Lotus Avenue.

A male, 38, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance at 9 a.m. Jan. 15 at Lawrence Drive and Ventu Park Road.

A male, 39, was arrested on charges of identity theft and using or possessing a skimming device at 10:10 p.m. Jan. 16 in the 2300 block of Borchard Road.

For allegedly selling counterfeit CDs and DVDs, a male, 29, was arrested at 2:35 p.m. Jan. 18 in the 600 block of Avenida Del Platino. The subject possessed 106 CDs and 84 DVDs in a nylon bag.

A burglar attempted to break into a home through the locked side garage door on Jan. 20 or 21 in the 5300 block of Via Rincon.

A bicycle was stolen from an open garage between Jan. 14 and 16 in the 100 block of Bluefield Avenue.

Petty theft occurred on Jan .17 or 18 in the 4000 block of Greendale Circle.

An object was thrown at a moving car between 9:15 and 9:20 p.m. Jan. 17 at Lynn Road and Paseo de La Paz.

Vandals struck between Jan. 16 and 19 in the 1000 block of Newbury Road.

A vandal broke the back window of a vehicle ($500 in damage) between 11 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. Jan. 18 in the 800 block of Rancho Road.

Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: On Jan. 17 or 18 in the 1200 block of Knollwood Drive (window broken, cellphone stolen); on Jan. 17 or 18 in the 900 block of Eaglesnest Place (an iPod and a backpack with clothing were stolen from an unlocked vehicle); on Jan. 17 or 18 in the 900 block of Eaglesnest Place (window broken, and an iPod and GPS system were stolen); on Jan. 17 or 18 in the 1000 block of Meadowcrest Street (window broken); on Jan. 17 or 18 in the 1200 block of Rotella Street; and on Jan. 17 or 18 in the 900 block of Grayrock Street (window broken); between Jan. 18 and 20 at the north end of Wendy Drive(a fire extinguisher was stolen from an unlocked vehicle, and other property was vandalized).
