Use local talent for branding our city
I was amazed to read about the $89,000 branding fiasco. Thanks to those who want to keep work here locally. We have major talent here. I don't think the city has done its due diligence to find it.
City Manager Scott Mitnick states the process to provide branding for Thousand Oaks had stalled over the years and further delays would end up costing taxpayers more money.
I don't think so.
I found many excellent ad agencies, public relations firms and media sources near our city that can do the job.
I wonder how many other jobs go out of state. Maybe someone can see what percentage of city work stays local.
It might be interesting.
Is this the same group that spent more than $380,000 landscaping the little park on Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Long Court? No wonder fees here are so high. Rick O'Bryant Westlake Village
