Newbury Park First Christian Church will present its 2009 women's conference, "Heart of a Champion," this weekend at the church, 801 Knollwood Drive, Newbury Park.

Registration begins at 6 p.m. Fri., Jan. 30. The program will begin at 7 p.m. On Sat., Jan. 31 registration will be at 8 a.m. with the program from 8:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

The conference is open to all women of the community.

The featured speaker, Catherine Martin, is the author of several books and the founder and president of Quiet Time Ministries. Martin will speak on both days.

A variety of breakout workshops will be offered on Saturday.

The cost is $45 for tickets purchased before the conference and $50 at the door. The price includes appetizers and dessert on Friday and brunch on Saturday.

American Sign Language interpreting for the deaf will be provided.
