Board chair elected for Los Robles

Ross Goldberg Ross Goldberg Ross Goldberg, founder and president of Kevin/Ross Public Relations, was elected chairman of the 2009 board of trustees of Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center.

He succeeds Paul N. Finkel, MD, who will remain on the board for a second three-year term.

"We are extremely fortunate to have someone with Ross' breadth of experience and professional demeanor in this leadership role," said Jim Sherman, president and CEO of Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center. "His extensive knowledge of healthcare, hospital processes, and community relations will greatly benefit the board."

Goldberg, a Westlake Village resident, has been a member of the board of trustees for the past two-and-a-half years, serving as vice chairman in 2008 and chairman of its Quality Oversight Committee.

With more than 30 years of experience in public relations and marketing communications, Goldberg has represented companies primarily in healthcare, education and in nonprofit groups.

Prior to founding Kevin/Ross 10 years ago, he was senior vice president of communications and marketing for CareAmerica Health Plans, vice president of corporate communications for UniHealth America, and president of Pacific Media Associates, the company's wholly owned advertising agency.

He's a founding executive board member of the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development and has a master's degree in communications from Pepperdine University.

Serving with Goldberg on the board of trustees are vice chair Kyle Himsl, MD, urologist and secretary; and Jim Sherman, hospital president and CEO.

Board members are Paul David, MD, emergency medicine; Virginia Davis, community liaison; Vishva Dev, MD, cardiologist; Paul N. Finkel, MD, internist; Hannah Grossman, MD, OB/ GYN and hospital chief of staff; Patricia Moore Jones, executive director of Alliance for the Arts; Rick Lemmo, vice president of Caruso Affiliate Holdings; Greg Ramirez, Agoura Hills city manager and Redevelopment Agency executive director; Kenneth Saul, MD, pediatrician; Wayne Schultheis, MD, pathologist; and Lisa Teevan, registered nurse, case manager of Assisted Home Care Hospice.
