Thousand Oaks
Assailants battered and injured someone with brass knuckles and a bat around midnight Jan. 12 on Houston Drive, north of Thousand Oaks Boulevard. The crime was considered gang-related.
A male, 23, was allegedly involved in a traffic collision around 2:10 a.m. Jan. 10 in 800 block of Emerson Street. According to authorities, the subject, who reportedly had been drinking alcohol, pulled out a knife and cut the other person involved in the accident. The subject then fled the scene, leaving behind his vehicle and driver's license. He was arrested at 4:50 a.m. later that morning in the 400 block of W. Gainsborough Road.
A swastika was spray painted on a sidewalk between Jan. 13 and 15 in the 1900 block of Parkwood Court.
The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the times, dates and places indicated: A male, 28, at 7:37 p.m. Jan. 14 at Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Hodencamp Road; a male, 22, at 3 p.m. Jan. 8 at Avenida de Los Arboles and Calle Tulipan; a female, 48, at 1 p.m. Jan. 13 at Olsen Road and the 23 Freeway (subject allegedly caused traffic accident and injured another person); a male, 28, at 11 p.m. Jan. 11 at Avenida de Los Arboles and Sirius Street; and a male, 26, at 2:50 a.m. Jan. 11 on Olsen Road, east of the 23 Freeway.
On suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances, the following subjects were arrested: A male, 42, at 3 p.m. Jan. 15 in the 1400 block of Kirk Avenue; a male, 39, at 4:15 p.m. Jan. 7 in the 700 block of Brossard Drive (subject allegedly possessed a controlled substance and a switchblade knife); a male, 32, at 5:45 p.m. Jan. 10 in the 200 block of Columbia Road (subject allegedly possessed a used syringe and an expandable baton); and a male, 33, at 8 a.m. Jan. 11 in the 2800 block of Calle Calandria.
A male, 20, was arrested and charged with having sex with a 17- year-old at 11:45 p.m. Jan. 9 at Avenida de Las Plantas and Avenida de Los Arboles.
A female, 19, was arrested and charged with resisting arrest at 1:05 p.m. Jan. 15 at Calle Bouganvilla and Avenida de Los Arboles.
A male, 23, was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run traffic accident at 9:20 a.m. Jan. 13 at Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Fairview Road, and he was cited later at East Valley Station.
A male, 18, was arrested and charged with possessing several baggies of marijuana for sale at 12:45 a.m. Jan. 10 at Wilbur Road and Pennsfield Place.
For possessing small amounts of marijuana, two males, ages 19 and 18, were cited at 5:40 p.m. Jan. 13 in the 1200 block of Lynnmere Drive.
A thief stole $343 in property between Dec. 18 and 31 in the 200 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.
A business was burglarized ($500 damage) on Jan. 6 or 7 in the 1400 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.
Grand theft occurred between 7:10 and 8:45 p.m. Jan. 15 at the Spectrum Club gym. Valuables from a backpack inside a locker were stolen.
A theft ($5 loss) occurred at Kemp Ford's storage room on Jan. 13 or 14.
Someone entered a home without permission on Jan. 15 in the 1000 block of Deepwood Drive.
Tools and a valuable piece of jewelry were stolen between Dec. 15 and Jan. 1 in the 1400 block of Dorset Avenue.
A bicycle was stolen from an open garage between Dec. 23 and Jan. 6 in the 700 block of Brossard Drive.
A vandal caused $150 in damage by slashing a vehicle tire on Jan. 14 or 15 in the 2700 block of Calle Quebracho.
Graffiti caused damage at the 76 gas station, 293 S. Moorpark Road, on Jan. 10 or 11.
Shoplifting occurred at Victoria's Secret between 4:10 and 4:30 p.m. Jan. 10.
Petty theft occurred between Dec. 15 and Jan. 10 in the 4500 block of Tam Oshanter Drive.
Vandals damaged a vending machine at Thousand Oaks High School by cutting its enclosure and hinges, and stealing money from it on Jan. 12 or 13.
Gang graffiti caused damage to a men's restroom at a drugstore in the 1300 block of N. Moorpark Road on Jan. 11. The damage was $450.
Vandals threw raw eggs at a vehicle and home ($200 in damage) on Jan. 9 or 10 in the 1400 block of Calle De Oro.
A purse was stolen from a booth at a pizza restaurant between 9 and 9:15 p.m. Jan. 9 in the 100 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.
A tailgate was stolen from a truck on Jan. 8 or 9 in the 1200 block of Village Glen.
Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: Between 3:35 and 3:50 a.m. Jan. 1 in the 1700 block of W. Hillcrest Drive (window smashed); on Jan. 9 or 10 in the 4900 block of Read Road; between 1 and 1:21 a.m. Jan. 12 in the 200 block of E. Wilbur Road (passenger window broken); on Jan. 8 or 9 in the 800 block of E. Calle Haya (a stereo, cleaning supplies, a backpack, school supplies and CDs were stolen); between 8 and 10 a.m. Jan. 9 at Pleasant Way and Live Oak Street (unlocked); on Jan. 9 or 10 in the 800 block of Warwick Avenue (window broken); on Jan. 9 or 10 in the 600 block of Woodlawn Drive (convertible top was cut open); and on Jan. 10 or 11 in the 2100 block of Sonoma Court.
