Toddler enjoys a warm Conejo Valley winter day
     GETTING AROUND- Luke Lawson, 3, of Newbury Park skateboards in the Newbury Park Skate Park at Borchard Park. Lawson was enjoying unseasonably warm weather last Thursday. He's homeschooled and was getting exercise for his daily physical education. His mother said they visit the skate park about once a month. Luke has been skateboarding for about a year. St. Pat's to host open house
      St. Patrick's Episcopal Day School will hold an open house for prospective parents and students in kindergarten through sixth grade from 1 to 3 p.m. Sun., Jan. 25 at the school, One Church Road, Thousand Oaks. 'Happy birthday'

Whidden graduated from USC in the early '30s with a degree in education and she continues to love children and people.
