Chabad to host women's programs

The Conejo Jewish Academy is starting a new Mommy and Me program to nurture the practical and spiritual growth of Jewish mothers as they raise their children in a traditional Jewish home.

An open house will be held from 10:30 to noon today, Jan. 22 at the academy, 30345 Canwood St., Agoura Hills.

The program is for infants and toddlers from 6 months through age 3.

Mothers will spend time with other mothers and tots while participating in Judaic songs, crafts, circle time, stories and junior gymnastics.

The fee is $36 for a fiveweek session.

•Jewish Women's Circle will present a free three-part monthly series on health at 7:30 p.m. starting Mon., Jan. 26 at the academy, 30345 Canwood St., Agoura Hills.

The first session will be on "A healthy body/a healthy soul." Rochel Laber, certified fitness trainer, will discuss how to lose excess fat and tone the body.

Master Chef Jordana Goodman will talk about healthy family cooking on Feb. 23. Deborah Snyder and Denise Noyer, licensed acupuncturists, will discussion "acupuncture for women's health conditions" on March 23.
