Rash of burglaries occurs on Thousand Oaks Boulevard

Three Thousand Oaks Boulevard businesses—Enrique's Mexican Restaurant, Roxy's Famous Deli and For Heavens Cakes—were burglarized during the night of Thurs., Jan. 15 or the early morning of Fri., Jan. 16.

Each business was entered after the burglars smashed a window. Their cash registers were broken into, but none had money in them, said Ventura County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Ross Bonfiglio.

"It's still a felony," he said.

Detectives are continuing their investigation and haven't yet determined if the crimes were committed by one or more burglars.
