Orientation for the Ventura County International Pageants will be from 10 a.m. to noon Sat., Jan. 24 at the Courtyard Marriott, 1710 Newbury Road, Thousand Oaks.

Contestants will compete in these age categories: Miss, ages 19 to 29; Teen, ages 13 to 18, and Junior Miss, ages 11 to 13.

Areas of competition include interview, fun fashion wear, evening gown and aerobic wear for Miss and Teen. There will be no competition in the categories of talent or swimsuits.

Last year more than $15,000 in scholarships and prizes were awarded, including custom 24K white gold and diamond jewelry from Torgny & Co. jewelers in Thousand Oaks.

The pageants are sponsored by Crowning Glory Productions.
