Thousand Oaks
The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the times, dates and places indicated: A female, 27, at Townsgate Road and Westlake Boulevard (subject was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run traffic accident); a male, 38, at 2:20 a.m. Jan. 4 at Avenida de Los Arboles and Oakbrook Mall Drive; a male, 30, at 10:42 p.m. Jan. 1 at Triunfo Canyon Road and Silver Spring Drive(subject was allegedly involved in a single-vehicle collision; and a male, 30, at 10:45 p.m. Dec. 31 at Avenida de Las Flores and Avenida de Las Plantas.
On suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances, the following subjects were arrested: A female, 30, at 4:15 p.m. Jan. 7 in the 700 block of Brossard Drive; a female, 20, at 2:55 p.m. Jan. 8 in the 1400 block of E. Avenida de Los Arboles; a female, 47, at 8:25 p.m. Dec. 20 in the 1800 block of Los Feliz Drive (subject allegedly possessed a hypodermic needle); and a female, 37, at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 31 in the 2600 block of Los Feliz Drive.
A male, 41, admitted to making and detonating two dry ice bombs and was arrested at 8:19 p.m. Dec. 31 in the 800 block of Calle Haya.
For allegedly battering his girlfriend on Jan. 1 in the 1900 block of Meadow View Court, a male, 34, was arrested at the East Valley Station on Jan. 8.
A female, 47, allegedly battered her ex-boyfriend (causing minor injuries) and was arrested at 6:12 p.m. Jan. 5 in the 1800 block of Los Feliz Drive. A male, 49, at the scene was arrested and charged with the same crime at 6:51 p.m.
A male, 38, allegedly lied to police about his identity and was cited at 10:55 a.m. Dec. 31 at Cord Avenue and Thousand Oaks Boulevard.
A fraudulent use of an access card between May 30 and July 24, 2008, was reported Jan. 5 in the 1500 block of Moorpark Road.
Los Potrillos Market at 1491 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. was burglarized ($300 in damage) between 5 and 5:08 a.m. Jan. 7.
An apartment was burglarized on Jan. 1 or 2 in the 300 block of Hodencamp Road.
Property was stolen ($350 loss) from the Rosetta Stone kiosk on Jan. 3 or 4 in the 200 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.
Property was stolen from an Impression Gifts kiosk on Jan. 3 or 4 in the 200 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.
A vandal broke into Roxy's Famous Deli at 1345 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. by smashing a large plate glass window on Dec. 22 or 23. The vandal took a large cheesecake from a dessert case and left it outside the restaurant's courtyard area.
Grand theft occurred between Feb. 1 and Nov. 30, 2008, in the 2700 block of Baywater Place. The crime was recently reported.
Patrons dined at Denny's at 50 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. and left without paying around 4:30 a.m. Jan. 5.
Property was vandalized between 5:50 and 6 p.m. Jan. 3 in the 3000 block of E. Adirondack Court.
Burglars stole merchandise from a store between 1:45 and 2 a.m. Jan. 4 in the 1300 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.
Gang graffiti was discovered in the 100 block of Maegan Placeon Jan. 2.
Gang graffiti caused $300 in property damage between Dec. 26 and 30 in the 300 block of Paseo Esmeralda.
A vandal punctured car tires on Dec. 27 or 28 in the first block of Quinta Vista Drive.
The windshield of a pickup was broken on Jan. 1 or 2 in the 1400 block of Thousand Oaks Boulevard.
The driver's side window was broken with an unknown object Jan. 1 or 2 in the 2600 block of Rikkard Street.
Vandals caused $8,000 in damage to a vehicle on Dec. 31 in the 100 block of Van Dyke Street.
A burglary was attempted at Discount Tires on E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard on Dec. 30 or 31.
A vehicle was vandalized ($250 loss) on Dec. 30 or 31 in the 2900 block of Calle Estepa.
Vandals damaged a vehicle on Dec. 30 or 31 in the first block of Westbury Street.
A burglar opened an unlocked trunk of a vehicle and stole $1,800 in valuables on Jan. 8 in the 200 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.
Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: On Jan. 7 at Wildwood Park at Big Sky Drive and Avenida de Los Arboles (three vehicles); between 5:15 and 6:15 p.m. Jan. 5 in the 2600 block of W. Hillcrest Drive (rear window was broken and a computer was stolen); between Jan. 2 and 4 in the 300 block of N. Moorpark Road (door window was broken and a stereo faceplate was stolen); on Jan. 5 or 6 in the 400 block of W. Wilbur Road (unlocked); between Dec. 17 and Jan. 5 in the 200 block of E. Wilbur Drive; between Jan. 2 and 6 in the 300 block of Rolling Oaks Drive (burglars cut the soft top of a convertible, entered the car, stole property and caused $2,000 in damage); on Jan. 3 or 4 in the 200 block of Brazil Street (two vehicles, combined damage of $1,200); between Jan. 2 and 4 in the 400 block of Hodencamp Road (window broken); between Jan. 3 and 5 in the 500 block of N. Moorpark Road (driver's side window was smashed, causing $250 in damage); between 7:30 and 7:35 p.m. Jan. 5 in the first block of W. Olsen Road (purse stolen); between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. Jan. 2 in the 1300 block of Avenida de Las Flores (window smashed on one of two vehicles); between 3:45 and 4 p.m. Jan. 2 in the first block of N. Moorpark Road; on Dec. 28 or 29 at Los Padres Drive and Rolling Oaks Drive (two vehicles); and on Dec. 31 or Jan. 1 in the 1600 block of Fordham Avenue (a wallet and cellphone were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.)
Property was stolen from Topper's Pizza on N. Moorpark Road around 7:45 p.m. Jan. 2.
For allowing her 17-year-old son to drive a vehicle without a license, a female, 44, was cited at 10 p.m. Dec. 31 at Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Dallas Drive.
A male, 18, was cited for being involved in a hit-and-run traffic collision at 10:30 p.m. Jan. 6 in the 600 block of Calle Tulipan.
A female, 40, was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public at the Whole Foods store on N. Moorpark Road at 10:15 p.m. Jan. 8. She reportedly was yelling at customers leaving the store and couldn't answer when a policeman asked her how much she'd had to drink. In an earlier incident involving the same subject, the woman was cited for drinking in public at 3:21 p.m. Jan. 7 in the 300 block of N. Moorpark Road.
A male 45, was arrested and charged with being drunk in public at 7:05 p.m. Jan. 7 in front of the Best Western Hotel on W. Thousand Oaks Boulevard. For the same infraction, a male, 26, was also arrested at 9:50 a.m. Jan. 6 at W. Hillcrest Drive and Marin Avenue.
