A female, 24, allegedly attempted to stab her boyfriend with a pair of scissors while under the influence of a controlled substance. When the subject was arrested at 3:45 p.m. Jan. 7 in the 1500 block of Newbury Road, police discovered that she possessed narcotics.

A male, 22, was arrested and charged with the following at 8:30 p.m. Jan. 6 in the first block of N. Jerome Avenue: attempting to avoid arrest, being involved in a physical domestic incident, possessing a controlled substance, being under the influence of a controlled substance, possessing a smoking device and possessing tear gas/ pepper spray.

On suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances, the following subjects were arrested: A female, 23, at 10 p.m. Jan. 6 in the first block of N. Jerome Avenue; a male, 49, at 11:55 a.m. Jan. 5 in the 600 block of Avenida del Platino; and a male, 38, at 2:50 a.m. Jan. 2 in the 2400 block of W. Hillcrest Drive (subject allegedly possessed a glass smoking pipe.)

A female, 20, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at 2:15 a.m. Jan. 1. She allegedly possessed a small amount of marijuana and broke the rear window of the patrol car.

A male, 39, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at 11:25 p.m. Dec. 31 at Ramona Drive and Ventu Park Road.

An unknown assailant stabbed someone twice with a sharp device around 2 a.m. Dec. 25 at the Conejo Creek Condominium complex between 598 and 608 Paseo La Perla.

Someone stole a car, crashed it into another person's property and then broke into the second person's building and vandalized property on Jan. 4 or 5 in the 5500 block of Via Bonita.

A male, 45, allegedly hit, pushed and dragged a person across the floor; he was arrested and charged with battery with corporal injury to his spouse at 3:15 a.m. Jan. 1 in the 3200 block of Erinlea Avenue.

Charged with battering and injuring his wife, a male, 33, was arrested at 11:27 a.m. Jan. 3 in the 1600 block of Calle Turquesa.

A male, 18, was arrested and charged with possession of a deadly weapon at 2:27 a.m. Jan. 5 at Wendy Drive and Lodgewood Street.

A male, 40, was cited for violating a restraining order at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 1 in the 1700 block of N. Tipperary Lane.

For stealing his estranged wife's purse, a male, 42, was cited at 8:10 p.m. Dec. 30 in the 100 block of Via Mirabella.

A burglar broke into a rental property and stole doorknobs between Dec. 26 and 30 in the 600 block of Paseo La Perla.

An unknown male spat on somebody. The incident, which is considered battery, took place around 4:20 p.m. Jan. 5 in the 2500 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

Shoplifting occurred at Albertsons on S. Reino Road between 11:10 and 11:26 a.m. Jan. 2.

Computers were stolen ($800 loss) from Conejo Valley High School between Dec. 29 and Jan. 2.

Spray painted graffiti defaced a concrete wall at a flood control basin at the end of Kimber Drive; the crime occurred between Jan. 1 and 3.

A home was burglarized between 9:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Jan. 6 in the 3700 block of Calle Mazatlan.

A male, 19, was arrested and charged with possessing stolen property and lying to police about his identity to avoid arrest on two misdemeanor warrants at 2:56 p.m. Jan. 5 in the 1800 block of Newbury Road.

A female, 28, was cited for shoplifting at 6:45 p.m. Dec. 31 in the Ralphs grocery store on N. Ventu Park Road.

A small group of juveniles were caught shoplifting from Ralphs on N. Ventu Park Road around 1 a.m. Dec. 31.

A male, 22, was cited for allegedly committing vandalism at 9:40 a.m. Jan. 7 in the 2900 block of Theresa Drive. The crime occurred in the 1900 block of Oracle Drive on Dec. 31.

A male, 21, was cited for being involved in a hit-and-run traffic accident at 9:40 a.m. Jan. 4 in the 500 block of N. Louis Drive.

A front-lawn Christmas decoration was broken on Jan. 1 or 2 in the 700 block of Cayo Grande Court.

A female, 36, was arrested at 5:05 p.m. Dec. 31 in the 200 block of Asta Avenue and charged with selling magazines door to door without a permit.

A golf cart was vandalized ($1,000 in damage) between Dec. 19 and Jan. 5 in the 4600 block of Via Rio.

Property was stolen from Newbury Park High School between Jan. 2 and 5.

A vandal broke a passengerside window ($250 damage) on Jan. 4 or 5 in the 2400 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

Charged with being drunk in public, a female, 48, was arrested at 7:35 p.m. Jan. 4 in front of her room at Motel 6, 1516 Newbury Road.

A male, 50, was cited for drinking in public when he took a sip of wine at 9:45 a.m. Jan. 5 in the 500 block of N. Ventu Park Road.
