Thousand Oaks-Westlake Village Regional Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Janet Levett recently announced her retirement, effective the end of January.

Levett has served as Chamber president and CEO for the last 20 years and was instrumental in the merger of the Conejo and Westlake Village Chambers of Commerce 10 years ago.

An accredited Chamber executive and graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organized Management (IOM), Levett is widely recognized as one of the finest Chamber executives in California.

Through her dynamic leadership skills and devoted dedication to the communities of Thousand Oaks and Westlake Village, Levett brought the organization through a merger of two successful Chambers. This resulted in the Thousand Oaks- Westlake Village Regional Chamber of Commerce emerging as one of the most highly acclaimed Chambers in all of California, receiving the elite fourstar accreditation rating from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a level unsurpassed by any other Chamber of Commerce in California.

Levett was instrumental in developing the Thousand Oaks- Westlake Village Community Foundation. During her tenure, the Chamber emerged as the preeminent voice for business in this community and continues to offer its members multiple networking, educational and leadership growth opportunities to foster and maintain economic vitality of members and the cities of Thousand Oaks and Westlake Village.

The board of directors has selected an interim CEO to lead the Chamber—Jill Lederer, local businesswoman, former board chair of the Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce and Chamber Woman of the Year. Lederer holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and is owner of BTR Inc.

She recently sold her chain of 10 local Domino's pizza franchises. In addition to her previous Chamber efforts, she has been a Chamber member for 25 years and has been involved in many local civic and charity organizations.

We thank Levett for her service and welcome Lederer in her role at the Chamber. Thousand Oaks-Westlake Village Regional Chamber of Commerce Westlake Village
