T.O. girl dives for the cross in Ventura

'WE HAVE A WINNER'- - During St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church's Epiphany and Blessing of the Waters ceremony, a cross is thrown into the water at Ventura Harbor. The person who retrieves the cross, above, is believed to receive special blessings for the entire year after a prayer is read over him or her. The winner was Thousand Oaks High School sophomore Eleni Misthos, left, a member of the water polo team. The ceremony took place last Sunday.
