Los Robles Medical Center will host breast cancer seminar

Every day 575 women in the United States learn they have breast cancer. Many have no outward sign of the disease, adding to the shock of their diagnosis.

Dr. Mai Brooks, a breast health specialist who's on the staff at Los Robles Medical Center, will discuss how to prevent and survive breast cancer at a seminar next week at The Oaks mall.

The free discussion will be from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m., Thurs., Jan. 15 near the Macy's women's store on the lower level.

Reservations aren't necessary, but are appreciated by calling (805) 370-4092. Morning refreshments will be served.

This seminar is part of "Health Chat," a free community health education outreach program sponsored every third and fourth Thursday morning of the month by Los Robles Medical Center in conjunction with The Oaks.
