Squirrel of the Month

OUTRAGEOUS SQUIRREL STEALS STUFFING FROM PATIO FURNITURE TO FEATHER HER OWN NEST—The Eby family of the Wildflower neighborhood of Thousand Oaks has been entertained by this squirrel who single-handedly destroyed their patio furniture to build her nest. We're not insinuating that it's the female squirrels who blatantly steal things to make their nests. Instead, we're flat out accusing girl squirrels of this crime. Don't support or condone criminal behavior by squirrels, male or female. Send their photos (or mug shots) to the address on page 4 or digital images to tonewstip@theacorn.com. Let's take a bite out of crime in 2009 with Squirrel of the Month! The public must stop renegade squirrels from committing felonies.
