Learn about pruning roses at Stagecoach Inn Museum
The Ventura County Rose Society and the Gold Coast heritage Rose Group will cosponsor the eighth annual Pruning Old Garden Roses Demonstration at 8 a.m. Sat., Jan. 10 at The Stagecoach Inn Museum Rose Garden, 51 S. Ventu Park Road, Newbury Park.
The demonstration is free, and the public is invited.
Jeri and Clay Jennings, Ingrid Wapelhorst and Jim Delahanty will demonstrate how to prune tea roses, noisettes, climbing roses, hybrids, China, polyantha and other types of roses.
An auction of 100 rare and hard to find roses will take place at 11 a.m., after the demonstration
Naming rights to a new hybrid musk rose will be auctioned off as well. Bidding will begin at $250.
Refreshments will be provided.
