City and residents should welcome the movie makers
      Regarding the T.O. Acorn story of Jan. 1, "Filmmakers want new ordinance so they can focus on Thousand Oaks": We elect the Thousand Oaks City Council to decide how best to successfully manage our city, not individuals who often think only of themselves.

      I've called Thousand Oaks my home since 1972. Rarely do I read an article in the Acorn that touches a nerve in a negative way, but the recent article titled "Humane Society offers tips on finding a healthy puppy, avoiding puppy mills" did just that.

Looks forward to change in America
      On Christmas Eve, my husband attempted to turn onto Wildwood Avenue to take our family to my inlaws' to celebrate, but couldn't. It had been sealed off by police. We had no idea what had happened. Around the same time, I received a call from my parents who were also trying to head home and to confirm if we were okay.
