National Day of Service invites volunteers

The Keys to Survival program will be held as a part of The National Day of Service in conjunction with President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration. The program will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sat., Jan. 17 at 31565 Rustic Oak Drive, Westlake Village
This is the kick-off meeting to learn how to participate in three volunteer opportunities for longterm sustainable projects.
The Fair Children/Youth Foundation connects communities in Conejo and Rwanda to help Rwandan genocide survivors and AIDS orphans restore their daily lives.
The Greater Contribution's Change Club provides microloans to impoverished women and local schools.
A local adult literacy mentoring program helps adults without reading skills who are struggling.
