Free teen driver program is scheduled

The Thousand Oaks Police Department will host a Smart Start program to educate teen drivers from 6 to 9 p.m. Thurs., Jan. 29 at the Thousand Oaks Police Station, 2101 E. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks.

The free program is designed to help young drivers and their parents understand the responsibilities and laws associated with driving. The goal is to reduce the number of teenrelated injuries and deaths due to accidents.

Classes are limited to 25 enrollees.
