Democrats to host inauguration dinne

The Ventura County Democratic Party will host a Presidential Inauguration Celebration dinner from 6 to 11 p.m. Tues., Jan. 20 at My Florist Winecafe and Bakery, 76 S. Oak St., Ventura.

President Barack Obama's inauguration speech, parades and party coverage will be broadcast on large screens. Music, dancing, a silent auction and short speeches will round out the evening. Semiformal attire is requested.

Dinner will include hors d'oeuvres, a choice of entree, dessert and a beverage. There will be a no-host bar.

Tickets, available through venturacountydemocrats.com, cost $40 for members of Ventura County Democratic clubs, $50 for nonmembers, and $55 for the dinner and a club membership. Sponsorships are available.

Tickets can also be ordered by mail. Make checks out to VCDCC and send to 2419 E. Harbor Blvd., No. 12, Ventura, CA 93001. Include phone number and names of all guests.
