Nurse's assistants finish training

Professional Medical Careers Institute School of Nursing in Thousand Oaks awarded pins and certificates of completion to students who recently completed a 185-hour nursing assistant course.

The local graduates are Stephanie Fina of Moorpark, Christina Fick of Newbury Park and Shasha Hernandez of Thousand Oaks.

The students obtained their clinical experience at Westlake Healthcare in Westlake Village.

The graduates will take the state certification and competency examination. Most plan to pursue registered nursing programs at local colleges.
